Want to do some good and have some fun? Join WiLS for the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium Statistics Hackathon on Thursday, November 5th at 11:00 in the WLA Conference Exhibits Hall!
What is a statistics hackathon? It's YOUR opportunity to help create templates that libraries around the state can use to present data about OverDrive usage.
Here's how it will work:
- We'll have a list of OverDrive statistics that would benefit from a chart or other visualization.
- You'll grab data for that statistic from OverDrive Marketplace (we'll help you do that!).
- You'll make a visualization for that data (and you can attend our visualization workshop series on Wednesday to learn how!).
- We'll work together to take that visualization and convert it into a template that other libraries can use.
The goal of the hackathon is to have charts or other visualizations as templates to share among all libraries in the state.
