SELF-e Select is now Indie Author Project (IAP) Select! The collections will include not just the Fiction and YA selections from Library Journal (which will continue as normal), but also curated eBooks from other partners such as Publishers Weekly, Black Caucus of the ALA, and regional library editorial boards around North America working within the IAP Contest network.
Promotional materials are being created and updated to reflect this change.
OverDrive just announced their partnership with the American Library Association (ALA) to host the Libraries Transform Book Pick for all U.S. public libraries. This program is designed to connect readers across the country with their local libraries — and provide a great book for a digital book club!
So, what does that mean for WPLC? The title, After the Flood, by Kassandra Montag, will be available at no cost with simultaneous use to all WPLC patrons during the book club, October 7-21.
Voting is now open for November’s Big Library Read and you and your patrons are invited to help OverDrive select the next title to be read worldwide. This time around the focus is on Juvenile/Young Adult titles. Voting ends September 11 so vote now!
The Big Library Read will be live November 4-18, 2019, and the winning title will be announced in October. Nore information and marketing materials will be shared at that time.
