It seemed like a long wait, but as of yesterday, Kindles are compatible with OverDrive!
Today, there are 4,913 Kindle titles on the WPLC Digital Download Center. Even without a lot of fanfare, yesterday’s Kindle circs accounted for more than 20% of the overall total (348 of 1663), and very few related questions came to the wplc support email (wplc-info@wils.org)
Sara Gold sent a press release template to the wispublib listerv yesterday, and I’ve edited it to be a general release representing WPLC– please see attached. You could easily add something about your library to give it a local touch. Distribute as you see fit.

We’re working on getting more Kindle information to you: marketing, FAQ, etc., but let me know if you have specific suggestions of what you could use.
